During the 2009-2010 school year, it has been my privilege to teach a wonderful group of about 15 high school students in the Bennett Valley Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In our community, this class takes place at 6:40 in the morning, before these brave souls enter the local high school for their required curriculum.

This year, we have been studying the Book of Mormon – a brief history of the prophets and their people who inhabited the ancient American continent. Have you ever been curious as to the origins of the Native Americans discovered by Amerigo Vespucci, Christopher Columbus and others? If you go back to my first post, and read them from the oldest to the newest, you would be following our studies of the Nephites and Lamanites – these very same ancestors of the Native Americans.

It has been a very fun and learning year for me, and I can only hope that the same is true for others that have followed this forum throughout the months.

Sit down, read some posts, and check out the Book of Mormon. You just may be surprised – and impressed – with what you read. It is a wonderful read – among the best that you’ll ever take on!! I dare you…!

Hi, this is Lisa M from the RV ward teaching Seminary in the Badger Bldg.

Great site Bro Po. Makes me laugh as the youth in my ward call me SisMo. It’s been great reading your blog. You are strengthening my testimony as well as your class members I’m sure. Keep it up!
